Meet Lance Martin, a talented, creative, persistent dreamer and an uncommon comedian all in one. Based in Fountain Valley, California, Lance has spent more than 50 years honing his craft and drawing cartoons. His work encompasses newspaper comic strips, comic books, animated videos and art books. His style is bright, playful and unmistakably original.

From his early days creating original comic strips at La Quinta High School and Golden West College, to having his work published in outlets such as the Orange County Register, Lance’s journey in the comics world has been one of passion and perseverance.

Lance’s work has even drawn the attention of one of the most famous names in cartooning: Charles Schulz (creator of the Peanuts comic strip). Schulz himself drew a Snoopy cartoon specifically for Lance in recognition of his style. Critics and colleagues have praised his unique voice: for example, Pulitzer Prize nominee Craig MacDonald described Lance as having “a fresh originality and brilliance that sets him apart.”
